Why Copper
Copper is one of the most conductive metals in common use. A solid copper rivet passing through the sole creates a continuous path between the foot and the ground — no coating, no plating, no interruption.
Why the K1 Point
The rivet sits at the K1 point on the sole of the foot — a spot on the forefoot long used in acupressure traditions. Placing the rivet there means it stays in contact with the ground through the natural rolling motion of a barefoot stride.
Why Leather Soles Matter
Most shoes end the conversation at the sole: rubber is an insulator. Our soles are buffalo leather with a hot-pressed traction pattern — no rubber layer anywhere. Leather, especially with natural moisture, does not block the connection the rivet creates.
