Frequently Asked Questions
Sizing & Fit
How do I choose my size?
Measure your foot length and use the chart in our Size & Fit Guide. Barefoot shoes fit differently from conventional shoes — the toe box is intentionally wide, so go by measurement, not by your usual sneaker size.
What does "zero-drop" mean?
The heel and forefoot sit at the same height, the way your foot rests when you stand barefoot on the ground.
The fit isn't right — what now?
Exchange it. You have 30 days, and we start crafting your new size as soon as the return ships. See Shipping & Returns.
Production & Materials
Are the shoes really handmade?
Yes. Every pair is cut and hand-stitched to order in our own workshop in Gaziantep, Türkiye — the same atelier our family has run since 1950.
What are the soles made of?
Buffalo leather with a hot-pressed traction pattern. No rubber layer — the leather stays in direct contact with the ground.
What is the copper rivet?
A solid copper rivet set into the sole at the K1 point of the foot, keeping a continuous conductive path between your foot and the ground. Read more on The Copper Rivet page.
Ordering & Shipping
How long until my shoes arrive?
5 business days of production plus 5 business days of express shipping to the US. Tracked door to door.
Will I pay customs fees?
US orders: never — we ship DDP and cover all duties. Other countries: see International Shipping.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Email us within 24 hours at info@edeshoes.com — production starts fast, but we can usually adjust size or color before cutting begins.
Care
How should I care for the leather?
A soft brush, occasional conditioning, and time to rest between wears. Full instructions by leather type are on our Leather Care page.
Wholesale
Do you produce for other brands?
Yes — we are the manufacturer behind several barefoot brands. For wholesale and private label, see Wholesale & Private Label.
